1. Jésus, Ta sainte présence
Est la source du bonheur.
Dans la joie et la souffrance,
Elle est le repos du cœur.
Fais briller sur moi Ta face,
Ô Jésus, Agneau de Dieu!
À Tes pieds, c'est là ma place,
Près de Toi mon ciel est bleu.
2. Sur celui qui Te contemple,
Descend un rayon divin.
Tu fais de son cœur Ton temple,
Ton doigt pointe son chemin.
3. Il faut aussi Ta présence,
Pour Ton service, ô Jésus!
Car elle est une puissance
Pour relever les perdus!
4. Quand dans l'étendue immense,
Ô Jésus, Tu paraîtras,
C'est encor par Ta présence
Que Tu nous attireras!

1. Lord Jesus Your holy presence
Is the source of happiness.
Unto the heart, Lord, it brings rest,
When in joy, when in distress.
Cause Your face to shine upon me,
Lord Jesus, O Lamb of God!
My place is at Your feet only,
Where I found pleasure, O God.
2. On those who from You don’t depart,
O send forth Your cheering ray;
Saviour, make Your temple their heart
And lead them in the right way.
3. Your presence is needed each hour,
For Your service, Lord of hosts!
For it’s a strength and a power,
To redeem those that are lost.
4. When Lord in the sky You appear,
It will be by Your presence
That You will draw us; and while near,
We shall fall in reverence.
